Re: [X2go-Dev] x2go windows client questions
Hi, thanks for the links, but also the new client does not solve the problem. If keyring opens and I click cancel, the whole seesion freeze. Same when using sqldeveloper a bit more. Does anyone have or had similar problems? Re: [X2go-Dev] x2go windows client questions
Hi, ok the gnome-keyring bug is no x2go problem, it is a problem of gnome-keyring itself. So everything is fine with x2go :) Thanks! I use version 3.99 and it works fine. I think this is what you need: http://wiki.x2go.org/installation You can use the newer client with the older server. The GTK-client is not developed any further. [X2go-dev] X2go windows client trouble
Hi In a first time , i must thank you for yours works . I am really happy to found X2GO project . Exactly what i was looking for ... but ;) I experiment some bugs from the windows client tested with x2goclient-3.01-4 to 13 (release 14 just crash at start on my seven64). I am shure the bug is due to the way i intend to use the client. Let's me explain ;) i do this before with xming (its works but it was slow). I define single application that start the command /usr/bin/gnome-panel. In that's way the gnome panel start and you can use linux seamlessly inside you windows desktop ... even linux apps go in the windows taskbar ... ;) Perfect but sometime (try 20 seconde moving your mouse on the menu) when i let's my mouse move on the gnome-panel menu the x2go connection crash. I am frustrated because exepting that random big trouble , it's just perfect. Of course i have try connect normally or even custom desktop with /usr/bin/gnome-panel command and there is no bug. Inside xming wizard there is a launch command for multiple windows (the way i was doing my trick sucessfully before with xming). And the parameter single application is single ... ;) Maybe a new skill as define connection for starting a multiple windows command as /usr/bin/gnome-panel. if it's the trouble. you can easyly test and reproduce it. I am shure you will understand how it could be great to start gnome-panel and use linux seamlessly inside windows ... Other subject : I can only use basic image or .JPG compression but nothing else ? jpg works fine but when you see rdp ...;) for my test i have use the client you know and stable and unstable release of the server. Its just does not changing any compression protocol ability or connection trouble. Sorry for my english best regards, romain ___ X2go-dev mailing list X2go-dev@lists.berlios.de https://lists.berlios.de/mailman/listinfo/x2go-dev

I found that I was running a little tool on the background (xplanet) that was also using a cygwin1.dll but a much older one. After closing down that tool, restoring the x2go original cygwin1.dll to its folder and trying again... All is well ... I started up my cron and sshd services again with the new cygwin1.dll and starting the x2go client with its original dll. Everything worked again! I just want to share this information, maybe put it in the faq or something. When using the windows client, be carefull to look for other (older) cygwin1.dlls For the rest I'm very happy using x2go. Thank you all Malic Zilyas This problem of older cygwin1.dll is a general problem of using Cygwin and not just with x2go and something for which you have to be alert. After a while you may setup a number of applications that require Cygwin and then later you may update your Cygwin installation to a later version. And sometimes this leaves older applications using older/conflicting versions of cygwin1.dll. Yes it is. But it can be a real search to come from an empty dialog box with title Host key verification failed to finding an old cygwin dll On 22/07/2010 14:09, Gerry Reno wrote: On 07/22/2010 07:55 AM, Malic Zilyas wrote: Dear members, Currently I'm switchin from FreeNx to x2go. i must say everything looks very good!
