Re: [X2Go-User] X2GoBroker Python3 CentOS 7 issue
Hi, Quick update on this. At least with the x2gobroker-agent package. All that needed to be done was to change python3 to python36 in the spec file. I did this with the following. $ yumdownloader x2gobroker-agent $ rpmrebuild -enp x2gobroker-agent* $ yum install rpmbuild/RPMS/.rpm voila. I have just learned the the coming RHEL7.7 will bring us Python 3.6 directly with the distribution. Maybe that will be sufficient, don't know. Uli Mihai Moldovan schrieb am Fr., 7. Unfortunately it's not just a simple packaging issue, which would have been easy to fix. EPEL is missing quite a lot of Python(3) packages the new broker version needs in order to work. Porting them through the extras repo would be possible, but not a good idea since I know that I won't be keeping track of foreign packages well enough.
