Hi.i get the Quake data via Curt by using the following filter in

very interesting data too especially the ones in the Indonesia and South

Nope, you got the point, I was just aiming for earthquake data. The page I was
actually looking for was information about firenet itself and the data that
comes through it plus filters, etc.

[Xastir] Dialog window sizes?

2008-08-06 Thread Dexter N Muir
Hi all...

Just noticed - opening a dialog with variable data (such as Station
Info, or Map Chooser) opens a tiny window with buttons on top of each
other and no data showing. Re-sizing does not appear to be 'sticky'
either, and re-sizing each time is a right pain...
I don't recall this being so on earlier versions.

That one's down, but it doesn't document the quake data anyway. I
don't believe anything out there does. The name of the objects
include the magnitude and the date as I recall, then in the comments

Now that the cron kicked off, there's data to look at:

http://www.findu.com/cgi-bin/raw.cgi?call=we7u&start=24&length=24

That's just the data that hit the APRS-IS. Much more went to
firenet.us. The format should be relatively clear. Naming is
DDHHMMq and then a two-digit magnitude, so I was wrong about
starting with a 'q'.

I believe it's the same software. Port 14580 is the filtered port,
2023 is the full feed.

I just checked: My crons were not running on wetnet.net since July
15th so I just kicked crond. That should get data flowing again.

Filters is filters. firenet uses javaprs and the server adjunct. Same

Actually this has nothing to do with the radar images you serve up. I only
pull one radar image directly from NWS servers. So it's the NWS feed that
breaks ImageMagick at times.

Quakes? Sure. firenet.us:2023, or the filtered port there. I have
Perl scripts which do web-scraping and inject them into the APRS-IS

Another ham did Perl scripts as well, before I did mine. W9IF I
