And don't forget your password!

There's very limited password recovery available. In spite of the efforts
of the site operator (thanks!), the wiki software doesn't make it easy to
recover a lost password.

It's '''much easier''' to just create a new login.

I gave up getting a working password for my callsign login after
forgetting it's password. You'll find my edits, efforts, ramblings,
misdirections and occasional outright screw ups under 'Zotter' now.

Also... Do I need a password/account?

You can view the Wiki information without an account. To be able to
edit, you need to set up an account.

The account is quick and easy to set up. It is needed to keep bots
from wiping out Wikis... You can create an account and be able to edit
the Wiki within a minute.

You need a username and password to edit pages. Establish one if you plan
to edit the pages.

The wiki is accessible from the xastir home page at http://www.xastir.org/
Just click "Xastir Documentation" on the left of the page.

Right now, there is a very short list of people working on the wiki pages. The
main documentation page is a half-populated skeleton of information, there are
some half-formatted pages that look like cut-and-pastes from existing pages but
with no functioning images or links, and (on the upside) there are some very

wait until someone else populates the thing, or start adding to it yourself.

Right now, the wiki is not a substitute for the flat files that come with a
distribution tarball or cvs checkout, but if enough distributed effort were
applied it could be a much, much more readable and searchable way to get

information to the user community.
