Re: [XeTeX] Strange quotes symbol

2016-09-04 Thread Zdenek Wagner
If you put {\tracingall \textit{\mu}} to your document, you will be
able to see what TeX is doing but be prepared to read "lakh" (or even
more) lines of messages in the log file. Do not forget the outer curly
braces, without them you will not be able to find anything. I have not
tried, I just keep the rule that using a math symbol outside of math
leads to an error or at least to strange things.

Re: [XeTeX] Strange quotes symbol

2016-09-04 Thread Suki Venkat
Thanks, the \traceall seems to be the thing I am looking for...its only few
hundred lines not lakhs ...
BTW: So you know "lakh" that Indian-ism for 100 thousand (10^5) ...

[XeTeX] XeLatex and PS-Tricks

2016-09-04 Thread Colin Ramsay
Hi all,

I use TeXLive 2015 with Winedt 10.0 as my front end on Windows 7 Professional.

My question is: How do I get XeLatex to recognize my ps-tricks drawings? Is
there some package missing?

Colin

Perhaps one of these can be helpful?

[XeTeX] XeTeX endian bug?

2016-09-04 Thread Norbert Preining
Dear XeTeX crew,

(please keep Ccs, thanks)

on Debian we got the following bug report with minimal
file. The bug seem to happen only on MIPS and not on
other machines. This is TL 2016 sources with some patches
that are unrelated to xetex.

The generated xdv file cannot be converted on my machine,
neither, so it seems that the xetex engine creates
something broken on mips.

The OP (Eugene) has also made a comparision of generated
xdv files on different machines and saw some endian
errors.

Maybe some macro in the source code did missdetect mips?

All the best

Norbert
