[Newbie]XFree86 4.1.0 and FreeBSD 4.4 with ATI Radeon 32MB DDR card
I installed FreeBSD4.4 on a machine with AMD Athlon and ATI Radeon All-in-Wonder Card with AGP Interface. I upgraded XFree86 3.3.6 to XFree86 4.1.0 When I tried to configure X, and run it, it give me the following error message (WW) checkDevMem: failed to open /dev/mem (Operation Not Permitted) linear framebuffer access unavailable (--) using syscons driver with X support (--) using VT number 9 Fatal Server error: xf86EnableIO: Failed to open /dev/io for extended I/O Unfortunately the machine is not connected to the network. so I could not send the entrie log file as suggested. I am running FreeBSD kernel in security level '1' . The same error happens when I try to run scanpci. Is this a XFree86 problem on FreeBSD??
