Hello All, Just to understand the flow of Key Event, I added one Print Stat in some of the funtion in XKBBind.c file. Whenever I ran KDE Apps, like Kword, Kedit ..., Ctrl in coming inside the XkbTranslateKeySym function. When I ran Gnome Apps like Gedit, Ctrl is not coming inside the XkbTranslateKeySym function. But Chars are shown correctly in the App. From where gnome will get the Char ? Is there any other methods avail in Xlib to do this job. I have a DELL PC with Intel Chipset 82845G/GL. I am not able to get resolution beyond 640x480 with 16-bit color. If I use color depth of 8, then I can go upto 1024x768. I have installed RedHat 9.0. Hello, How to send a 16Bit Unicode value to a Application ? If I use the XmodMap, then Which Xlib function is responsible for taking the Unicode Value frm XModMap ? When I try to track the values inside the XKbtranslateKeysym(), I got only Zeros !!! How to find the flow of Key-Events from Xserver to XApplication ? Hello All, If i am running one client application in local machine and the remote server sends the event, Expose Event, notifications to the client application thru XProtocol. Now client application need to redraw its content in the local machine screen. For this Expose operation whether Client application will contact the remote server [ server does not know client machine HW, server is responsible for all HW related operations(?) ] OR it will handle locally. [ Thru Xserver only we can contact the HW(?), Locally there no Xserver ] Explain the steps related to it. Hello all, I saw a demo of Linux + XFree86 4.1.0 with 4 DISPLAY( Mon,KB, mouse). All USB KBs are connected to a MiniUSB Hub and Hub is connected to machine, And USB mouses also connected in similar way. At the time booting, they started 4 GDM. Each Display having separate Config File. They modified the Xserver code so that all KBs and mouses are not mapped as single. I don't known more detail about it. Hello all, Weather it is possible to sent the BackSpace to application ? Suppose already some char is displayed in SCR. But before displaying my next char the already existing char should be deleted and display the current char in that position. I try to send the Backspace / DEL char (8 / 127) from XkbTranslateKeySym() (XKBBind.c). but application ( Kword etc...) display it as space. How to do it?
