[XFree86] Problem in starting X

Hai,

I have a problem in my computer, while starting X it displays 


(EE) Failed to load module "pcidata" (module requirement mismatch, 0)

Fatal server error:
Unable to load required base modules, Exiting...


When reporting a problem related to a server crash, please send
the full server output, not just the last messages.
This can be found in the log file "/var/log/XFree86.0.log".
Please report problems to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

XIO:  fatal IO error 104 (Connection reset by peer) on X server ":0.0"
  after 0 requests (0 known processed) with 0 events remaining.

and i can't able to startx

System Details

OS : Linux 7.2
Kernel :  2.4.7-10 
Video card : intel82845G/GL

Can you please help me about this problem?

 XFree86  -version

and check video driver ur using

I thing ur driver is not compatable with ur XFREE86 version!
and vise versa

Get download compatable driver from xfree86 website

please check wat version of XFree u hav

execute :

XFree -version

if it is lower  than 4.3.0 version, then u hav to download  XFree
4.3.0 or XFree 4.4.0 and install it.

XFree 4.3.0 , Xfree 4.4.0 is compatable with GeForce FX
