is your lcd a 12.1 tft ?

no more 640x480, lets try 800x600, add below to your Section "Screen"
DefaultDepth 16
SubSection "Display"
Depth 16
Modes "800x600"
EndSubSection

and below to your Section "Monitor"
HorizSync28-40
VertRefresh 60

the corresponding mode is [EMAIL PROTECTED] , does it work?

[XFree86] Re: Compaq Armada 1530

2005-10-01 Thread cc
is there a 4.3.0 version xserver on your system?
your xserver version is 4.1.0 while using driver version 4.3.0,
probably its not a good idea to use them at the same time.
did u partially upgrade your system ?
consider using a up-to-date version of xfree86(4.5.0) or at least
use a full 4.3.0 xserver,
if u dont want to compile it by yourself, you can get binnary package
in other deb format or rpm format depending on what distro you are
using.

Hello,

I make installation to my laptop the Damn Small Linux ver. 1.5.
The laptop Compaq Armada 1530 consists: Pentium MMX 133Mhz, 32MB RAM,
Cirrus Logic CL-GD7548 1.40 IPCI.
Before the installation of the Damn Small Linux I have Win95. The
display it was SVGA, 800x600, 256 colors.
Also I send in attachment file (XFree86_Armada_1530):
- XFree86 log file (/var/log/XFree86.0.log)
- version of XFree86 ("XFree86 -version")
- and the XF86Config file.

I try several XF86Config using xf86config.
After that I searching in Google if find a similar problem. I find one,
I try it and I take the same results.

The problem is: the GUI is awful, blue background, no icons, the windows
has black background, the resolution of pictures or icons is very pure etc.

Please give me a hand to solve the problem.
If you need more detail please tell me.

Thanks in advance,
Ilias|
