Re: [XFree86] TECHNICAL SUPPORT

2005-10-01 Thread Mark Vojkovich
I believe you want to be using the i810 driver rather than
the i740 driver. It may also be that your i845G isn't well
supported by the driver back in XFree86 4.3.0 (your version) - it's
hard to keep track of what supported what.  Give it a try though;
it might work fine in 4.3.0.

[XFree86] Technical Support

2003-09-17 Thread Alberto Rodriguez
Hello,

I was trying to install Linux Mandrake 9.1 in my computer but had some
problems when setting up the X environment.
The problem I found is that X-Window doesn´t understand the screen layout.
When I was setting the video features, I tried to install my screen (it is
a LG StudioWork 700S), but it was not in the list for LG Industries given
with the distribution. What can I do to set my screen layout in order to
use X-Window for my Linux (for the time being I only can use it in
character mode).

Many thanks in advance.

Alberto Rodríguez.

We'll probably need to see your /var/log/XFree86.0.log file
before we can determine what's going wrong.
