[xmail] Re: subtle relay hole ...
Hi Davide, I have 1.9-pre01 installed and have recently (two days ago) submitted my site mail.iclub.cz to ORDB test. Here is their test e-mail I have received: -- Return-Path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Received: from localhost.localdomain (62.242.234.108) by mail.club.cz with [XMail 1.9 (Win32/Ix86) ESMTP Server] id for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> from <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Thu, 06 Jun 2002 15:37:17 +0200 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-ORDB-Envelope-From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-ORDB-Envelope-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: ORDB.org check (0.09259492618467390.948260016) ip=194.24.251.12 This is an automatically generated email from ORDB.org. We are currently in process of testing this host, to determine if it is an open relay. -- and another e-mail - the mailserver passed: The host you submitted at ORDB.org (194.24.251.12), has been thoroughly checked, and does not seem to permit relaying. In smtprelay.tab I have: "194.24.251.0" "255.255.255.0" so probably no need for 1.9-pre02 update? [xmail] Multiple emails with multiple recipients
Hi. I installed Xmail (1.9-pre01) yesterday on a Win NT4 (installed same=20 morning, no SPs yet) to use as an internal mail server (slightly overkill,= =20 but :-) ) and get the same problem as has been reported by someone else= =20 earlier. When sending a mail to multiple recipients (all are using Win98=20 first edition and Outlook Express 5.00.), most of the times all=20 repcipients receive several mails. The machines are set up with multiple=20 accounts each and using rulesets (if To: contains transfer to folder=20 ) to transfer mails for the different persons to their respective=20 folders. On some machines, if a mail is sent to two persons using the same= =20 machine to check mail, each person get two mails. On another machines, one= =20 person gets both mails I suspect that it might be both a Win98/Outlook= =20 Express issue and possibly a Xmail issue. Anyone have a clue about what can= =20 be done? Hi all. Thank you very much. Everything works correctly. To comment that in the last line of the file sendmail.sh > /usr/bin/sendmail.xmail $* I wrote this way it: > /usr/sbin/sendmail.xmail $* since the whole work was carried out in /usr/sbin. A question. Why that of the file sendmail.sh it is not suitable in the manual? I repeat again, thank you very much.
