[xmail] Re: A good webmail - UebiMiau password change

2003-06-08 Thread Filip

Hi,

DL> Anyone tried this one :

DL> http://freshmeat.net/projects/perlwebmail/

Perlwebmail seems to have great features.
Tried to install it and finally gave up after 1 hour strugle. Got
crazy trying to solve dependencies. Could not install Curses-1.06 with
perl 5.8.

UebiMiau installs and runs in less than 5 minutes... Not as feature
rich but straigtforward as far as intallation in concerned.

If anybody manages to install perlwebmail on Linux/Perl 5.8, I'd be
gratefull about any advice. Thanks.

The XMail cache used exactly the same TTL the remote DNS server exposes.

# find $MAIL_ROOT/dnscache -type f -exec rm -f \{} \;

After painstakes with DBMail and trying to get it to work on my SuSE 8.2, I
was able to get Courier-IMAP w/ MySQL to work with my XMail and

2003-06-08 Thread Liron Newman

I've done some modifications to Dan's script, it can be viewed here:
http://www.eesh.net/xmail-um.html

It's pluggable into UebiMiau 2.7.2 and on (Until the current 2.7.8b1).

Davide, you're invited to add this to xmailserver.org..

Yes, it's a bug in the string de-quoting function when the string is
empty. Will go in 1.16.

[xmail] Error in CTRL - uservars command

2003-06-08 Thread Michal Altair Valasek

Hello,

it seems to be little bug in CTRL protocol when listing user variables. =
When
I have user with some empty user variable, XMail will return its value =
as
quotes (") via uservars command of ctrl protocol. For example I have the
following user.tab:

"RealName" "Michal A. Val+AOEBYQ-ek"
"HomePage" ""
"Address" ""
"Telephone" ""
"MaxMBSize" "1"
"SmtpPerms" "MR"
"ReceiveEnable" "1"
"PopEnable" "1"
"X-WAI-DateCreated" "2003-06-01 15:37:28"
"X-WAI-AlternateEmail" "[EMAIL PROTECTED]"
"X-WAI-EnableWebAccess" "1"

When I will get vars via ctrl, it would return:

"RealName" "Michal A. Val+AOEBYQ-ek"
"HomePage" """
"Address" """
"Telephone" """
"MaxMBSize" "1"
"SmtpPerms" "MR"
"ReceiveEnable" "1"
"PopEnable" "1"
"X-WAI-DateCreated" "2003-06-01 15:37:28"
"X-WAI-AlternateEmail" "[EMAIL PROTECTED]"
"X-WAI-EnableWebAccess" "1"
