Backups really would help here, wouldn't they? Also it is crucial to have
documentation of the process inside a commercial organization. In theory
anyone should be able to re-create the infrastructure looking at docs.

This is a general suggestion to everyone posting to mailing lists. Could
you try to cleanup the response from headers, footers, etc... before
sending it. The response should carry only the relevant bits.

Again me...don't use MIME filter. Use attach filter.
ftp://xmailforum.homelinux.net/linux/filters/attach2.tar.gz
This one you can adjust.

You can configure it which attachments to block. The file for config is
att.txt. Here you enter all the attachments you want to block.

This one is a nice start thanks, but is too severe ( will allow only
text attachments, I still want my customers to be able to attach
archives and jpgs), I need a filter that is able to select via attached
file name, if none is available I'll start building one.

Thank you,

Mircea

Hi all,

I there an already done filter that will simply drop the messages
with windows executable content ( *.pif, *.scr, *.exe) attached, with or
without sending a warning to the recipient, I discovered that usually
this solve 95% of virus problems.

Hi,

Can I create a message by hand, in a text file named like
1068433237340.135029760.server.domain.com.br with all headers, RFC
compliant and put it to a xmail spool dir to be send by xmail?

If yes, which spool dir?

temp, mess, froz, rsnd?

Até mais,
