Actually, what I posted the first time is correct. Without SA, XMail =

What ever messing SA does with certain messages seems to help keep =

stable. Certain messages do cause XMail to bomb if the messages get =

Maybe you need a re-phrase here: Running SpamAssassin definitely =
increases=20
the frequency of the problem. Since SA is known to screw up messages =
when=20
it rewrites them.

Until a crash-dump is reported or until a crashing messages is collected,
you have to understand that, for me, this is just noise.

Just in case anyone was having the same problem...

You can get hylafax and xmail to play together by editing the last line
in the [hylfax installation]/bin/notify.

 From this:
) | 21 $SENDMAIL -t -ffax -oi

To this:
) | 21 $SENDMAIL -t -ffax

This is assuming you have the sendmail scripts switch to the xmail ones
as well.

Davide: Can you think of any reason why the '-oi' would have kept an
email message from going out? Basically, I would receive an empty
recipient list message when I had the '-oi' tag on.

 You should use -i

Any reason why it would send out the message without the -i, and not
send out the message with it?

[xmail] ANNOUNCE: New versions of XMail-WAI, XMail-SYNC and SyncDNS

2004-05-02 Thread Michal Altair Valasek
Hello,

today we have here a batch of software updates. For the XMail related
software is the main reason to make them compatible with the new 1.19
version of XMail As the 1.19 is still in beta phase, you do not need to
upgrade right now, but please keep it in mind and don't mail me later that
alias domains are not working.

XMail-WAI (Web Administration Interface) version 4.0
http://software.altaircom.net/software/xmail-wai.aspx

- Added capability to deal with spam
- Webmail now allows to delete multiple messages at once
- Better support for Mozilla (still not complete)
- Fixed bug that caused WAI not to work on computers with underscore in
their name
- Some rewrite of Abstraction layer
- Compatibility with XMail 1.19
- Added support for maildir mode of XMail
- Documentation rewritten and split into multiple files

XMail-SYNC (Mail Exchanger Synchronization Tool) version 1.2
http://software.altaircom.net/software/xmail-sync.aspx

- Compatible with new format of aliasdomainlist command introduced in XMail
1.19
- Added proper setup

SyncDNS version 1.1
http://software.altaircom.net/software/syncdns.aspx
(not directly related to XMail, but may be interesting for some of you)

- The slave component has been changed so it now creates zone the way
allowing to cache their data in data files.
- Added proper setup.

[xmail] Help request: Make XMail-WAI work in Mozilla

2004-05-02 Thread Michal Altair Valasek
Hi, all!

I just released new version of my XMail-WAI (see previous message). I was
trying to make some changes to make the WAI work better in Mozilla browser.

This is unusual task for me. When I do web presentations, I make them
browser-independent and usually do not use client scripting at all. But in
case of web *applications* I can be generally sure that everybody would use
Microsoft Internet Explorer.

I am definitely not JavaScript guy and some of my scripts works only in
MSIE. For example the invert selection button at mail read and spam read
pages or the addressbook dialogs and so on.

Is here someone capable to fix my scripts to be browser independent? You may
download the application from
http://software.altaircom.net/software/xmail-wai.aspx. If somebody would
send me a better code, I'll incorporate it into next version of WAI.
