Forgive me,

one of
my many brain malfunctions. Ignore me, sorry for the trouble.

[xmail] Re: SMTP rules

2005-01-25 Thread CLEMENT Francis
Hello

- With basic xmail, you can, with EnableAuthSMTP-POP3 set to 0, =
configure
user1 mua to authenficate on smtp sessions and not user2, so user1 will =
be
able to send mails outside xmail, and user 2 not.
But with this configuration, user 2 will be able to send mails to any =
domain
hosted by xmail. If you host only one domain this is not a problem.

- The other possibility is to use a filter (pre-data filter is the best =
for
this sort of test) that will check the sending email and the =
destination
emails (and possibility to test from IP but users could switch to =
another
computer so ip check is not really the good way in this case)

Hi!

We have a domain domain.dom
Can i make some rules?
1. all users can send messages to any address from our domain.
2. some users can't send messages to any address to the internet.

for example:
1. user [EMAIL PROTECTED] (ip 192.168.0.5) cat send messages to any
address to the internet
2. user [EMAIL PROTECTED] (ip 192.168.0.6) can only send messages
only to domain.dom users
   =20
Relay on server is denied.
