For the filter it doesn't matter if it is a mail to 1 address or to 100 addresses. The filter just gets the attachments to scan. Are those large attachments when it goes wrong? Perhaps scanning takes too long and then the problem occurs? Can you try with another AV scanner to see if it makes any difference on your system? -- Groeten, Peter Was that your directory? - - Heb je een Dreambox 7000S ? - Kijk eens op http://www.dreamvcr.com - Kijk ook op http://www.lindeman.org - ICQ 22383596 - Uptime lindeman.org - 2 days, 10 hours and 8 minutes, 0 users logged in. - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe xmail" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] For general help: send the line "help" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

You see checkvirus.pl still running and you see clamscan as subprocess still running? Then you haven't seen an exit code yet I guess. What version of the filter do you use? It is a bit strange to me that when the filter fails or hangs for whatever reason that Xmail then stops. I think it works fine most of the time but only in the case I mentioned above. I explain my situation again to you here. 1.I (on the same network as the xmail-server) send an e-mail with attachment to multiple recipients, say 15. 2.I can see in debug mode that the filter involve correctly and gives the correct ret code. 3.But after a while, xmail stops. 4.I have to restart xmail manually. 5.Then I can see in ps -A that the checkvirus.pl runs and then clamscan runs. 6.Everything back to normal. Hope this helps. Thanks.
