If you want an alternative to Roundcube, try NOCC.

http://nocc.sourceforge.net/

It's what I have on my server. Written purely in PHP, it can be a little
slow, but then I'm only using a very low power server. It may be faster
on yours.

2011-06-15 Thread Catalin Gales

Sorry for delay..i had a little accident..
I inherited an windows 2003 server with IIS and xmail. I must deal with it.
I just want make it accesible by web interface for users.
Roundcube is not an option because I didn't find packages for windows.
Neither installing another Linux machine here...
I will try with xmail- WAI
Thanks for all.

I do not understand exactly what you need. I'm using phpxmail to administer
XMailserver options (used to manage almost all server options), and as
webmail client value, using Roundcube solution accessing user mailboxes
through the IMAP protocol, both are solutions developed in PHP, for this
reason, no matter from which you access platform provided you have a browser
in a sufficiently updated version.

Tell me why Windows 2003/IIS? Is it what you want is to be installed on a
Windows platform?.

Please get more information about your need to help more accurately.

I've used the .Net version of XMail-WAI by Michal A. Valasek (Altair
Communications) for some time and find it works well and has no major
issues (it should be linked from the XMail website).
Admin and email-reading functions work fine, even if it is not as
slick as gmail or yahoo.

[xmail] web interface

2002-09-03 Thread Lars Troen

Dear list,

Using xmail on win32.

We need a web interface for:
1. Configuring of the server (for postmasters)
2. Email handling (for end users)

We want to implement a this interface with a IIS5 based solution.

Is this possible or do we have to use an additional unix box for this?

Re: [xmail] Web Interface for XMail

2001-09-24 Thread Webmaster

The error I get with trying to use that software is it just doesn't like my
TCP/IP stack.. so it will not come up...
I am running WIN NT 4.0 Service pack 6... that is the first time any ANY
software has ever complained about my IP STACK.. I don't even know how to
approach this sorta of problem...

Anyways, I have no comments on the a WAI software than that.. I sure wish it
would have worked on my servers over here...!!! eeek!

Hi,

look to http://www.altair2000.net/software/xmail-wai/, I have something.
It's free software under GPL. It's based on EyeXMail - AFAIK the only
existent component. Currently I don't have time to further development. I
hope so someone will write mail read/write part of it.

development.

L.S.

See https://sourceforge.net/projects/phpxmail

It is a PHP class with almost all the functionality of the admin protocol.
Will run on anything that runs PHP :-)
There is a web interface included, but this one is still buggy...
Any comments are welcome!

Have fun,
