Re: EXA performance issue

 Hello,

When we consider the web-page scrolling scenario, i guess it also must be
making a call to XCopyArea() only finally to bitblit the entire window
 contents during scrolling.
But when i test the performance using some auto scrolling webpage on my
web-browser app, if EXA is enabled its getting worse.

Hi,
do you have a WebKit/GTK+ that is scrolling without repainting? Compare with
ChromeClient::scroll (WebKit/gtk/WebCoreSupport/ChromeClientGtk.cpp) and see
if it is doing what you think it is doing.

Subject: [ANNOUNCE] xorg-sgml-doctools 1.8

2011-06-11 Thread Gaetan Nadon

This release mainly changes the location where the target dbs for olinks
are expected to be located. Currently, no released modules contain
DocBook/XML documentation with cross document references (olink). All 21
modules containing DocBook/XML documentation will update their
docbook.am makefile and request version 1.8 of xorg--sgml-doctools.

This change is motivated by the distcheck failure when user has no
write permission issue found in x11proto. Now is a good time to improve
this feature while it is not being used by any released modules.

Gaetan Nadon (4):
masterdb: match libX11 installation directory structure change
Masterdb: remove the libXi porting document target db
Masterdb: read the target dbs from the usual doc directory

2011-06-11 Thread Aaron Lewis
Hi
I put setxkbmap -option ctrl:nocaps,terminate:ctrl_alt_bksp in
~/.xinitrc and do startx each time i start my machine ,
However , when USB keyboard plugged in , keyboard options won't be set
on it , i had to run that command again.

Any solutions ? Many thanks for any of your responses.
