[Bug 12626] Interlaced modi broken in latest git
http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12626 --- Comment #34 from Andy Burns <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 2008-03-16 11:01:12 PST --- Created an attachment (id=15187) --> (http://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=15187) Fix for radeon interlace modes You'll be interested to know I've written a patch to fix this, by doubling the values of the vtotal/vdisplay/vsyncstart CRTC registers when in interlaced modes, the same should probably be done for CRTC2 registers. I've just reported this via Fedora's bugzilla as my patch applies to the Fedora source after their other patches, hopefully it'll find its way upstream from there, or you can tweak the patch to apply it for other distros, I've attached it here for reference https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=437700 -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ xorg-driver-ati mailing list xorg-driver-ati@lists.x.org http://lists.x.org/mailman/listinfo/xorg-driver-ati
[Bug 15056] New: [radeon] machine freezes when X is stopped or second X started
http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15056 Summary: [radeon] machine freezes when X is stopped or second X started Product: xorg Version: git Platform: Other URL: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=463076 OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Driver/Radeon AssignedTo: xorg-driver-ati@lists.x.org ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] QAContact: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Bram Senders reported this bug a couple weeks ago. He has a PowerPC Mac Mini with a Radeon 9200. "The machine freezes when the Xserver is stopped... Just a hard freeze when I try to logout, or shutdown the machine, or restart gdm; anything that kills the X server causes the entire machine to lock up." There's a log availabel at http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?msg=10;bug=463076 Disable DRI, switching to PCI bus type or changing AGPMode didn't help. Only reverting from 6.8.0 to 6.6.193 helped. Agustin Martin reported a similar problem. And Roger Leigh added: "It works perfectly if I booted the system with "video=radeonfb:[EMAIL PROTECTED]" on the command-line. I can now switch VTs at will, as well as start and stop X, shut down the system, etc. without problems. However, booting with "video=ofonly" results in all the problems mentioned above. It might be an issue with the OF framebuffer, or the attempt to restore the framebuffer when X terminates or VT switches. IME, ofonly doesn't come back when you end X, but previously you just got a black screen rather than a lockup." -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ xorg-driver-ati mailing list xorg-driver-ati@lists.x.org http://lists.x.org/mailman/listinfo/xorg-driver-ati
