What is DRI, what is it used for? And, since I am timerous about screwing things
up, please tell me eaxctly how to do
that.

I found out that the 7200 card was defective. I did manage to get it working,
but after only about 5 minutes of operation, the whole screen would begin
blinking off and on until finally the screen would just freeze. Two times this
happened in Linux and in Windows so I know it was the card. I contacted ATI and
they are going to repair it for me on warranty.
