RE: [Xpert]compiler

2001-11-14 Thread Jon Dixon

Hi Casey

I just compiled the official release source under SuSE 7.1 which uses
GCC 2.95.2 ... I just did a 'make World' then a 'make install' then a
'make install.man'.

Still get the current problem, but it did compile okay.

Cheers

Jon

whats the recommended compiler for the xfree source?

i have gcc 2.97 im pretty sure, but i cant successfully compile xfree to
save my existance (not from official release source and not from cvs)

are there any libs i need or anything else that i should make sure i
have? im running a redhat 7.2 distro and im pretty sure that i installed
all the development tools.

im trying to get xfree running kosher with my amd 762 mobo and my radeon
video card

im going to try a new cvs checkout and make and log the stdout and
stderr from the make process

Casey
