Thus you're using the moused->SysMouse protocol, and you have to do the same thing you need to get X working with moused. XFree86 doesn't seem to grok this, in my experience. Use: Option "Protocol""Auto" Option "Device" "/dev/sysmouse" See also the output of 'man ums' & 'man moused'. > So if there is anyone out there running this mouse through their USB and > have successfully got it to work I'd love to see a copy of your > XFree86Config file. I seem to recall that this Just Worked the last time I messed with USB rodents. HTH. Cheers, AS msg06647/pgp0.pgp Description: PGP signature
[Xpert]XFree86Config-4
Hello everyone, I've been trying to configure XFree86-4 on FreeBSD and would like to find out if there is someone running a similiar configuration that can provide me a glimpse of their config file. I have a Dell Precision 530 2.2 Ghz (not that this matters) with a Quadra2 EX video card, ViewSonic P815 21" monitor and a Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer running from USB. The problem I'm primarily having is with my mouse, I cannot seem to get it to work when I do XFree86 -configure. So if there is anyone out there running this mouse through their USB and have successfully got it to work I'd love to see a copy of your XFree86Config file. Thanks in advance for you help, Michael ___ Xpert mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/xpert
