[Xubuntu-dev] [Bug 2061994] [NEW] [UIFe] Xubuntu 24.04 Installer Slides
Public bug reported: I'm requesting a UI Freeze Exception for Xubuntu 24.04's installer slideshow on behalf of the Xubuntu Team and Xubuntu Release Team. We (all flavors) were significantly delayed for the completion of the new installer and slideshow availability and I am only now able to upload our en_US slides. I hope to coordinate additional translations before next week's release and will solicit additional updates in time for 24.04.1. Without this upload, Xubuntu uses the main Ubuntu's slideshow, which is at times, irrelevant to Xubuntu's users. ** Affects: xubuntu-default-settings (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Xubuntu Developers, which is subscribed to xubuntu-default-settings in Ubuntu. [Xubuntu-dev] [Bug 1906241] Re: File -> Find in this folder: change catfish command
I disagree with your assessment. If a user right-clicks on a folder, any actions displayed should be applicable to the selected ("this") folder. This matches with the other actions (open in new tab, etc) when right- clicking a folder. Likewise, if a user right-clicks in the blank space of the current folder, they intend to act upon the current folder. ** Changed in: xubuntu-default-settings (Ubuntu) Status: New => Won't Fix -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Xubuntu Developers, which is subscribed to xubuntu-default-settings in Ubuntu. Unfortunately these sorts of settings are not well handled in X11, and there's not a consistent way to turn the behavior on or off.
