Both ubuntu and kubuntu use some kind of graphical advertisement
to make it stand out, maybe we could do something like that. What
does everyone else think? As far as the tour goes, I think that the
 new design looks great.

Yeah, I think with releases we could make a special update,
however, my knowledge of Drupal's CSS is too little for that...
 Perhaps I'll make some graphic.

If Xubuntu is the fast flavour of ubuntu, why don't speed up the home
page imitating the ubuntu home style with big texts and fewer images?
And maybe a smaller screenshot just to call the attention to the
gallery link...

Yeah, but Drupal requires you to enter a title for each page. The title of
the front page at the moment is set to Xubuntu home page; what would be a
more appropriate title for that page? (e.g. just as xubuntu.org/get's title
is Get Xubuntu)

 it there as well.

Yeah, but Drupal requires you to enter a title for each page. The
title of the front page at the moment is set to Xubuntu home page;
what
would be a more appropriate title for that page? ( e.g. just as
xubuntu.org/get's http://xubuntu.org/get%27s title is Get
Xubuntu)

 Hey all,

I've just worked on reworking the Xubuntu.org homepage and adding a tour,
and I wanted some feedback. Attached two screenshtos. (Note: there's no
other look, just new text and new Gutsy screenshots).

 Regards,

So, here's what the new homepage would look like:
 http://www.filegunner.net/uploadedimages/608629Xubuntu
 And this is the tour:

Yeah, I think with releases we could make a special update, however, my
knowledge of Drupal's CSS is too little for that... Perhaps I'll make some
graphic. The latest news headline just fetches the latest news item though.
