[xubuntu-users] 18.04: tiny installation fonts.

Can the dwvelopers not imagine that there are still elder people (70+) 
who still use Linux?
There are only a couple of readabel Lines jist after DVD start. 
Afterwards in GUI mode the font was so tiny that I had to ask myx son to 
read the instructions for me.

Tbhis is highly user unfriendlyx.

yes, they are there. hp-check opens a window with the message

HPLIP cannot detect devices in your network. This may be due to existing 
firewall settings blocking the required ports like (5353/udp). When you 
are in a trusted network environment, you may open the ports for network 
services like mdns and slp in the firewall. For detailed steps follow

after the upgrade there was no hplip installed. So I installed that one 
which came with xubuntu. No printing. Than I installed the latzest from 
HP. No printing.

Is there a way to go back to 16.04?

why does Opera not work properly, e. g. it cannot play videos like the

16.04 comes with Opera 44 which couldn't do it. After installing Opera 
55 it worked fine for a while, but after the last SW update including 
image ...135, it's not o. k. anymore.

in Xubuntu 14.04 Ireplaced the default mouse pointer in ~/.icons and 
/usr/share/icons by my own theme, and it worked fine. After upgrading to 
16.04 some programs (e, g. Thunderbird and Thunar use for some 
operations like moving something their onw pointer. What else can I do?

if I try to install shutter with synaptic, it says that there are defect 
packages, but it cannot correct them.
If I try to inste#all with apt-get install it say that there are
