Seti is still having a problem:
Dear Jerome,

Thanks for prompt reply.

My exact question is, why C is the smallest value of cohesion between two
grains. Just imagine , the first material be loose sand and the the second
material be something which we are using for cementation ( bonding the loose
sand) - which definitely has the bigger value of cohesion in comparison with
the loose sand , in this case assuming the the smallest value of cohesion means
we do not consider the effect of binder in our calculation. It is my thought,
please correct me if I am wrong.

Regards,
Seti

[Yade-users] [Question #295464]: Calculation of damping energy on chosen particles of a sample

2016-06-19 Thread Yor1
New question #295464 on Yade:
https://answers.launchpad.net/yade/+question/295464

Hello Yade users !

I try to calculate the damping energy in a shear test and tensile test.
Damping energy is computed in NewtonIntegrator :
https://github.com/yade/trunk/blob/master/pkg/dem/NewtonIntegrator.cpp#L43

In these test, I apply the boundary conditions on the particles :
For the shear test, i fix the boundary particles on ground of the sample.
For the tensile test, i apply the strain rate on the boundary particles on top
and ground of the sample.
In my case, i have to calculate the damping energy in the particles which are
not the boundary particles.
So the question : Is it possible to calculate the damping energy on particles
which I choose ?

Best regards.
Jabrane.
