Re: [Yade-users] [Question #406523]: Cylinders and law2_ScGeom_ViscElPhys_Basic
Question #406523 on Yade changed: https://answers.launchpad.net/yade/+question/406523 Status: Open => Answered Bruno Chareyre proposed the following answer: >Am I right if I say that cylinders are not independant objects and are made of gridConnection and gridNode ? If yes, is there another element entering inside the construction ? Yes, correct. And no other element. >For the bounding box, I have two possibilities: Bo1_GridConnection_Aabb() or Bo1_Cylinder_Aabb() No, Bo1_Cylinder_Aabb() is not an option because it is for the shape Cylinder (which gridConnexion generalized without direct inheritance). >but this create a ScGridCoGeom6D instance. Is it equivalent to ScGeom Yes, ScGridCoGeom6D inherits from (i.e. "is a") ScGeom. Re: [Yade-users] [Question #406569]: Triaxial test on Cylinder Sample
Question #406569 on Yade changed: https://answers.launchpad.net/yade/+question/406569 Status: Open => Answered Jan Stránský proposed the following answer: Hi Seti, to control confining loading, you simply set different value of force to the facets [1]. In the script, first the confining pressure is prescribed and then axial deformation is prescribed (i.e. confining pressure is constant and axial stress changes). But it should be no problem to add two walls at top and bottom of the specimen, and prescribe force both to facets and the walls to get desired loading stress (hence control confining and deviatoric loading). Stiffness is controlled by young and poisson parameters. cheers Jan [1] https://github.com/yade/trunk/blob/master/examples/concrete/triax.py#L143 -- You received this question notification because your team yade-users is an answer contact for Yade. ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~yade-users Post to : yade-users@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~yade-users More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
