usually you would set that in your machine conf file.

PREFERRED_PROVIDER_virtual/kernel ?= "linux-yocto"
PREFERRED_VERSION_linux-yocto ?= "3.10%"

The Dizzy revision looks to support 3 kernel versions ( 3.10 | 3.14 | 3.17
).

If I chose Dizzy 1.7.3 - how do I ensure  the 3.10 kernel is used for the
build ?
