RE: [Zappa-List] CD Software
That’s why I don’t use it. I would always forget to click the box every few times. Nero is good software but a setting like that shouldn’t have to be made every burn. I like Roxio 7. It defaults to no gap and always burns DAO (Disc at Once). It can even overlap the tracks if I want with a fade in and out effect. Burnatonce is a free software that only needs the box checked once and then it stays checked. It does a good job of burning too. Burrrn is another good free burning software. It can utilize EAC’s cue sheets for making perfect CD copies. EAC is really the best riper but it’s burning portion doesn’t work with some drives. On nero you must check the tickbox that says NO PAUSE BETWEEN THE TRACKS it then burns the WAV Files without annoying gaps John - Original Message - From: Gabriel To: Zappa-List@yahoogroups.com Sent: Friday, December 16, 2005 9:00 PM Subject: Re: [Zappa-List] CD Software Yeah, i think nero does it, but if i'm not mistaken you must check "disc at once" somewhere. If you do it using "track at once" you'll have the annoying gaps. A probably better method though is to use Exact Audio Copy, then you could extract the whole disc as a big wav file, plus a cuesheet file. The cuesheet file would then have the information for burning the big wave file separating each track precisely like the source.
