Rui,

Just installed zim-clip FF add-on on my Linux Mint netbook - works
beautifully. Thanks for your contribution - I'll be using this often.

There is no add-on SDK for Thunderbird. The add-on SDK is a specific
tool that provides a simple developpment platform and APIs to
communicate with Firefox and Fennec (Firefox mobile). Only the "html to
wiki" module could be reuse in a thunderbird extension, but i don't
have any knowledge of thunderbird APIs.

I'm not sure i understand the request : do you want to use zim-clip to,
say, copy email's content to Zim ?!

Unfortunately, I use the add-on SDK to build zim-clip, and it only
generates add-ons for Firefox.

Hi Pete.

Do you mean a button on the firefox toolbar that, when you click on it,
sends to a specific page of zim notebook (i.e. a 'readItLater' page)
the current url ?!

That's a functionnality a little bit different: it could easely be done
on the Firefox extension side, but Zim quick note plugin doesn't allow
to append content to an existing page. It will need some changes in the
plugin.

I'll see if it can be done.

[Zim-wiki] Firefox add-on: zim-clip 0.3

2012-08-17 Thread Rui Nibau
Hi all.

Just to inform that a new version of the firefox add-on zim-clip has
been released: http://omacronides.com/projets/ff-zim-clip/

changelog:
- HTML to wiki conversion improved.
- Possibility to run Zim from source.

Zim-clip can now import selected images, thanks to Jaap who add a new
argument to the quick note plugin. Pay attention that this
fonctionnality only works with the developpement version of Zim
(revision 576 and above) ; it will be released with Zim 0.57.

next to come:
- Windows support.

You can have the xpi here :
http://omacronides.com/lab/ff-zim-clip/zim-clip-0.3.xpi

Comments and feedback are welcomed.

Best regards.
