[Zim-wiki] Can not import 'xdg.Mime' - falling back to 'mimetypes'
I'm not sure if this is really a problem/bug. I used to have this warning just after launching zim from the command line: WARNING: Can not import 'xdg.Mime' - falling back to 'mimetypes' googling lead me to this: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/20707 and my linux distro happens to be arch. This bug has been closed though as it was reported to have been fixed in zim-0.48-2. I have zim 0.52 and this warning was still printed out though, until I installed the pyxdg package (0.19-2). Now the warning is gone. just felt like sharing in case someone find this info useful. Re: [Zim-wiki] key bindings for the sub/superscript
Hi Jaap, the manual gives two options, either changing it through "the settings manager of you desktop environment", in my case Openbox, so it's not obvious how... Or through the file .gtkrc-2.0 by adding the line "gtk-can-change-accels = 1", however my file .gtkrc-2.0 has these two other lines clearly stating not to edit this file manually: # DO NOT EDIT! This file will be overwritten by LXAppearance. # Any customization should be done in ~/.gtkrc-2.0.mine instead. So I tried to add the line above to the .gtkrc-2.0.mine and restart zim. Nothing happened, i.e. Zim did not realize the change. If I do it on the .gtkrc-2.0 itself I get to change the accelerator, which I did and then removed the line from .gtkrc-2.0. So you might consider adding these notes to the manual for the unprepared like me. Thanks. Re: [Zim-wiki] page in limbo?
Hi it just got deleted by typing in the Home page... so I guess that given the parent page of the "limbo page" was the Home page, it needed some kind of flushing to get it updated... So I'm not sure if it's still relevant to go after the problem I just mentioned below. It might be one of those very ephemeral bugs... [Zim-wiki] page in limbo?
Hi I have a very simple notebook, and I've been trying to delete a page from the side panel. I tried to right-click and do delete or delete from the File menu without success. Then I decided to delete the page from the command line (rm -f ), reopen zim and rebuild the index, but the page still shows up in the side panel. Then I tried to move it and/or rename it and I get: No such page: Home:Experiment 2 date Yes Absolutely Failed to lookup this page in the notebook storage. This is likely a glitch in the application. and looking into the stdout after lauching zim in debug mode gives: DEBUG: Opening dialog "Rename Page - Zim" DEBUG: Dialog response CANCEL DEBUG: Closed dialog "Rename Page" DEBUG: Action: move_page DEBUG: Pageindex has focus DEBUG: Opening dialog "Move Page - Zim" DEBUG: Dialog response OK DEBUG: Move to (True) DEBUG: Running ErrorDialog ERROR: No such page: Home:Experiment 2 date Yes Absolutely Failed to lookup this page in the notebook storage. This is likely a glitch in the application. I think the page does not exist really but for some reason Zim keeps on showing it on the side panel. Is this a bug or is there something else I should try before submitting a bug report? My Zim version is 0.52. Re: [Zim-wiki] check spelling exception
thanks, that did the trick. May I propose to include that reference to a dic package in your zim help page about the spell checker besides the gtkspell. To be honest I just assumed that the plugin was self-contained and hence some common languages like english would be shipped with it. cheers Ramiro On 6 June 2011 07:42, Jaap Karssenberg wrote: > On Mon, Jun 6, 2011 at 12:17 AM, Ramiro Magno wrote: > >> check spelling does not work for me, I get this error: >> >> Could not load spell checking for language: "en_US.UTF-8" >> This could mean you don't have the proper >> dictionaries installed >> >> I have Archlinux, is there a way of sorting out whether this a problem >> with my arch's zim package or a true zim's bug before I start submitting bug >> reports? >> > > Well the obvious question is whether you have a package installed with the > dictionaries for english spelling. [Zim-wiki] check spelling exception
Hi check spelling does not work for me, I get this error: Could not load spell checking for language: "en_US.UTF-8" This could mean you don't have the proper dictionaries installed I have Archlinux, is there a way of sorting out whether this a problem with my arch's zim package or a true zim's bug before I start submitting bug reports? [Zim-wiki] equation editor dialog box
Hi I noticed that the equation editor dialog box is not scrollable. Could this be implemented in zim's next release? Otherwise long latex input can make the dialog box too long, actually going over the screen size. Besides equations, I'm also using the equation editor plugin to make tables in Zim and I just made a huge table and the dialog box grew with it :) ... Thank you. [Zim-wiki] question about html template: pre tag
Hi just wondering, has any of you made a html template that redefines(?) the pre tag to something that would have syntax highlighting (http://alexgorbatchev.com/SyntaxHighlighter/)? I really dont know html so don't curse me if I'm asking something impossible. For me it would be really nice to get all the verbatim formatted text of my zim pages translated to some syntax highlighted text. Thank you. [Zim-wiki] question about attachments folder(?)
Hi I'd like to know how to define a folder that works as the repository for all my externally linked files which would be linked relatively to the notebook root directory. Then I'd like also to export to HTML the whole wiki and then copy the "repository folder" while keeping the file tree hierarchy such that those links to the external files still work in the HTML pages. I know this might have something to do with the Attachments Folder functionality but I don't really understand it, so I'm sorry if it already does what I'm discussing here. So, could someone clarify how to this? I bet this is an already implemented feature. Thanks in advance.
