[zones-discuss] Zone installation hangs at Initializing zone product registry.
I have created a zone , namely ems-ora-zoneB. Then to install the zone , I executed the following command. zoneadm -z ems-ora-zoneB install It has been more than 40 hours, but the prompt still shows Initializing zone product registry. One more thing is that it also does not show progress of zone installation in the percentage(%). After waiting for 40 hours, I rebooted the machine, and here is what it shows: ari23bca# zoneadm list -cv ID NAME STATUS PATH 0 global running / - ems-ora-zoneB configured /opt/ems-ora-zoneB It shows that zone is only configured whereas it should have shown that zone is installed. ari23bca# uname -a SunOS ari23bca 5.10 Generic_118833-36 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-V240 ari23bca -- This message posted from opensolaris.org ___ zones-discuss mailing list zones-discuss@opensolaris.org
[zones-discuss] folding brandz into zones on os.o
hey all, just a quick heads up. it's been on my todo list for a very long time (and i figured that i really should get it done before the xwiki migration), so i finally merged all the brandz community content into the zones community. you can see all the moved content here: http://opensolaris.org/os/community/zones/brandz The only updates i made to the content in the process of moving it was changes to make links self consistent. (ie, so all the brandz referencing links in the moved pages now point to the new pages.) ed ___ zones-discuss mailing list zones-discuss@opensolaris.org

It makes more sense to incorporate BrandZ into the zones community than to separate them into two communities. Is your update the first step towards killing the BrandZ community? On the zones page: http://opensolaris.org/os/community/zones/ The only brandz stuff is in the left column. Do you want to add any link in the main body (center columns) to make brandz more visible?
