Yeah, I knew it wasn't a sample and I'm not really saying that I'm
disappointed because it's a sample, it's just that I never would've imagined
that this was an interpolation because it fits so well with the rest of the
album, and the notions I have about how GC sound. To that end I'm shocked
that they didn't come up with it themselves and that it works so well on
that album. I know fully well that half the Carl Craig and GC stuff I love
is sample based, I just never knew this was. 

I'm curious how they acknowledged it was an interpolation. If they called it
an homage, I think that's taking some liberties with that term. It's a
straight-up cover version in my mind.
