Moodymann played at Shelter on the 17th, nice little party with him
playing behind a screen (no facing the front!). He'd dropped some
really great deep tracks, speak on the microphone and everyone had a
great time.

I got my records bag in the store, back in 2000. a good bag, looks like new
till today.

From what it sounds like, they closed primarily because rent in the
Greenwich Village area of Manhattan has gone through the roof and VM
couldn't pay the price.
I think they are still going to sell online.
Still, I think the loss of the physical locations is detrimental in some

I have to agree with Tom - reminds me of the worst characteristics of big
beat
Ed Banger records even have Midfield General (owner of Skint - original
home of Fatboy Slim) doing a remix of Krazy Baldhead
and it's a straight-up full on big beat rave sound complete with the
hip-hop vocal sample
