Apparently it closed up shop in March :-( How come this wasn't bigger news?? Was probably NYC last remaining bastion of real house and disco music in the city was around the corner from the Paradise Garage - opened in 1978 rent in the neighborhood have increased too much

From what it sounds like, they closed primarily because rent in the Greenwich Village area of Manhattan has gone through the roof and VM couldn't pay the price. I think they are still going to sell online. Still, I think the loss of the physical locations is detrimental in some aspects - MEK
