Hey Sean & list,
Great timing- Surgeon's in town tonight.... though playing at an odd
downtown venue that doesn't normally host this type of artist-
www.spybarchicago.com and you'll see what I mean
From chi-tech.org:
Friday 7 October 2005
BIG BANG SESSIONS featuring:
SURGEON (counterbalance/dynamic tension - birmingham, uk)
with
FRANKIE VEGA
SASSMOUTH
MIKE BRANKIS
BRANDON INVERGO + ANTIPHASE
relaxed dress code $10 before midnight
spybar
646 n franklin
21+
$12
ALSO, a can't miss event, though not strictly 313- RESfest is going on at
the Museum of Contemporary Art this weekend and they've brought in Jamie
Lidell to close out the festival at 9pm Sunday night, which is HUGE. Saw him
perform at Sonar and MUTEK, and both times he threw down an incredible
multimedia display of mad soulful genius (assisted by his live visual guy
Pablo Fiasco)- if you haven't ever checked out his live show, you really owe
it to yourself to experience it at least once in your life - check out
http://www.resfest.com/index.php?page=article&id=192&title=Jamie+Lidell+%28Chicago%29
for details and a clip of what the former Subhead is up to now. Get your tix
fast though, I suspect this may sell out-

Enjoy your stay in Chicago,
Herman
