Gys is a longtime friend of the Hydrogen Economy, despite having only
played as a guest once. His first guest performance, with support from
Smartypants and Heemin Yang, was one of the most popular performances we've
had, judging from the deluge of phone calls from tripped-out individuals at
least. This time Gys brings his record bag, and he keeps mentioning
something called "echodecks". Don't know what that's about but it sounds
interesting. Gys's impressive resume features more than a full length and
numerous 12s. Gys has been remixed by dub-tech heavy Substance and Phil
Western of Download. Tonight Gys will be assisted by mkb on digital effects.
Smartypants, also known as Mike Uzzi, may not strike you as a rockstar in
person. Don't let his friendly attitude fool you. He's got releases on 6
labels in the US and Germany, the newest with Ben Recht on Philly netlabel
UnfoundSound. Keep an eye out for his upcoming 12" solo debut on Zero G Sounds.
