Personally, I think it's valid enough to question the true depth of some conceptual projects (not just Mills, but in general). Concepts can be a fantastic way of adding more weight to any artistic work, and a way of encouraging people to think more about what they are involved in and listening to. But if their purpose is partly to open peoples minds and get them to consider and dicuss as well as simply consuming, then surely it is also important that we are able to criticise them? Particularly as more and more conceptual ideas are blatently being used to distract from the mediocrity of the music itself.
