Speaking of D May, he's going to be giving a lecture here in Chapel Hill, NC on Thursday, April 26th, at a site on the university campus (as part of the little annual local electronic music festival here)...I forget what the topic is, but well something about black music and dance music in the USA. Afterwards, he's doing a DJ set, as is Stacey Pullen, and $tinkworx (me) and I think Ja'Maul Redmond (whatsup!) are playing live. I have no idea what kind of event this is going to turn out to be, dance music in an academic forum ugghhhh hmmm errrr maybe...but well if anybody is in the southeast usa or on the east coast, maybe you'd be interested in coming...get in touch if so.
