This is pretty off-topic. Don't be mad.
I play with a new music ensemble that recently released a recording of
some of Steve Reich's music, and the CD has been submitted for two
Grammy nominations (best classical recording and best engineering).
It's all kind of a long-shot, since we're basically a bunch of punk-ass
kids from music school. But even the nomination alone would be great,
and in order for it to happen we need to have Academy members support
the submission.
Problem is, the deadline is tomorrow.
If any of you are Academy members, or know some Academy members, or have
some blackmail material on some Academy members, and you'd like to help
some punk-ass kids from music school win Grammys instead of some lame
old guys, I'd love you forever.
