I was recording 'Sweat Electric' from vinyl to computer last night, and the first time through I thought 'this sounds like crap!'
Second and subsequent times through, it was the dirty, crusty sounds and that weird FM kick with no bass that was getting to me. I'm normally not one to be seduced by audio dirtiness, but somehow with 'Sweat Electric' it works. Since UR stuff is all over the map when it comes to 'sonic quality' this must have been an artistic choice. Awesome. Oh and apparently someone got $154 for a copy of SID001 on Ebay. Thanks again to Submerge for sorting me out!
