Last week's Wild Kingdom featured a somewhat ambient CD set dovetailed with recent arrivals to the KFJC library..The set listing is at http://www.kfjc.org/music/playlist.php?i=33543 . You can download the show acrhive at the link shown a few lines below...If you do visit the download archive. please let us know what you think of the page or suggestions for improvement (or even leave an encouraging word), as this feature is pretty new.You might want to take the opportunity to sample other DJ sets as well - KFJC is all about diversity.

Tomorrow night, the Wild Kingdom begins with a 12" that has been sitting in my library for years, but has never been used in one of my sets. It's the track "Surprise" from Holy Garage (another Flugel/Wuttke side project), the very first release on Playhouse. My copy is a purple "white" label, one-sided, with two tracks (if discogs is right, it's the original track and an acidic Isolee remix). Whatever it really is, it's getting dropped first thing tomorrow night. Also in the mix - Ghetto Brothers, Fix, Carl Craig, Erik Van Den Broek, Luke Slater, Isolee, Phuture/Rocky's "Stand by Acid", Vulva, Baby Ford, DJ Koze, and others - I do like to mix it up. The 2000 and One Eevolute 12" didn't make it this time around in the frenzy of set assembly - next week I'll start the set with a track from that release - it was a little too gentle for what happened this time around.

If you miss a show, or want to sample other aspects of KFJC, limited time archives for KFJC programming are available at http://www.kfjc.org/broadcast_archives/ . Send comments and suggestions to i...@kfjc.org .

"The Wild Kingdom" airs on KFJC-FM 89.7, Saturday night/Sunday Morning, 12A-3A (8A-10A GMT). (This may change...) Potential listeners outside the San Francisco Bay area can find a webcast at http://www.kfjc.org/netcast/index.php . Present and past Wild Kingdom playlists are also archived at kfjc.org. You can also check out archived playlists from my first KFJC show "Just Desserts" that was on Fridays 10P-2A from 1992 through 1999. Archived playlists exist for that show starting from Fall 1995 to New Year's Eve 1999/2000, so you can see what what I'm up to these days is pretty much consistent with what I was up to all along.

If you do tune in (especially via the web), please take a little time to let me know your locale. I'm also interested in promo music from all over and in promoting local (San Francisco Bay area) techno-type events. If you want to do some promotion for an event, contact the KFJC promotions department at pr...@kfjc.org to arrange ticket giveaways and/or to send information for inclusion in our concert outlook. Thanks to those who have sent promo music so far.

Regards,

Richard Hester
