i am desperately trying to reach some family members in detroit during this
power outage. does anyone's cell phone still work?

I'm in Detroit. Most cell phones are out, but I was able to reach my sister
through Nextel. Looks like most of the northeastern US is without power.
Luckily, we have a generator at work...
