I ain't no veteran like alot of folks on the list, I only went last
year.the following was my observances.
hotels: the FB was no where near the clubs.at all.and now the new location
is even further.if you are going-stay down, near 14th & collins as
mentioned. What most dont know is there are lots of hostils in Miami. I
stayed at one last year for a good price, had a walk in closet,a bathroom
and huge room with a good view. There was even a pool. But there were some
other hoops involved with the place so im not going to reco. it. Anyway,
explore the hostils and save some money.
pass: depends on what you are going for.yes, the pool was where alot of the
dirty side hung out, but it was great just to be there in the middle of it.
I sat from afar and watched and had lunch with asya and crew and paid 4x
what the salad was worth.but i got to be there and see the FB pool in full
schmooze effect. The rooms werent worth the 300+ a night either.
if u dont have connections, get the pass.note though alot of pass
priorities ended at places after a certain time. Ive heard its going to get
alot stricter this year as attendence is supposed to go through the roof. i
had the pass b/c i didnt have connections and wanted to see the industry
engine working to its fullest.
I hung out with two people the whole time who had the connections and were
there for the sun,beach and music.they didnt have a pass.they werent there
to schmooze or connect with people who are most likely gonna throw away
their card when they get back.They got into the parties fine and had a good
time. Alot of money is spent on drinks.I didnt drink the whole time i was
down there (swear to god) and probably saved a bundle.
go.it's an experience.Im saving my money for Detroit in May.The whole trip
in total probably cost me a grand, i had my own room though.and that was
airfair with sunjet,2meals a day,a wee bit shopping on south beach and
entries. Peter W. is definately a WMC veteran, ask him if ya can, he helped
me out a lot.

PS. i got me and my 4 friends (including 2 mentioned) into the smile roof
party by simply mentioning "massive" and giving the guy stickers after we
were turned away once.just a thought.
