Steve Bicknell is joined in the Red Area by 2 legends within the history of
Dance music. For this truly special event Lost welcome the return of a DJ
who's an integral part of Lost's history, There's only one Derrick May,
techno Innovator, inspiration to many and a guy who offers full support to
those he knows and believes in.

Furthermore we embrace this opportunity to introduce to Lost a man whose
career spans 27 years and is truly a main player who continues to experiment
and develop his musical vision, Francois Kevorkian. Hailing from France,
Francois' DJ career is inextricably linked to New York, encompassing stints
at the legendary Studio 54,The Loft, Zanzibar and Paradise Garage
culminating in his own world reknowned night 'Body & Soul' alongside Joe
Clausell and Danny Krivit and currently one of New York's most respected
clubs.

Francois' DJ activities took a back seat in '83 after collaborations with
Larry Levan took precedence leading to remixing and production
collaborations for Axis productions with a host of diverse artists including
Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, Jean-Michel Jarre, The Strikers, Dinosaur L., Juan
Atkins, the atmosphere classic 'Dancing in Outerspace' as well as a host of
mainstream artists. Axis studios opened in '87 and clients included Todd
Terry (a man to whom many of todays producers owe more than a nod). After
establishing Wave Music in 1994, a label known for music with substance and
soulful sounds (much favoured by Steve Bicknell often featuring in his Red
room sets at Lost, but more specifically the Kim Bilir sets).

2001 saw the advent of a new label from Francois, 'Clicktracks' featuring
electronic beats and abstract textures, a new musical direction within which
all roads lead to 'Lost'. We await his premier DJ set with awe and know he's
bound to thrill as he will be ably aided and abetted by Mr May and Lost
resident Steve Bicknell.

Derrick May, where would techno be without him? A character as colourful as
the sounds he spins, Derrick's sets stand alone. One of the few DJs who have
managed to source the funk and soul within electronic music to make it sing.
His Transmat productions have unveiled some of techno's finest moments:
'Strings of Life', 'It Is What It Is', 'Nude Photo' and countless other
records that are now sighted as classic.

Lost wouldn't be Lost without resident DJ and organiser Steve Bicknell who
is the key link that makes Lost such a great and forward thinking party.
With a DJ career that has flown him to the four corners of the globe and as
a producer his record releases for Lost, Clubtracks, and Cosmic have found
themselves inside the box of just about every DJ worth their salt.
The night opens in the Red with a welcome return of those afro musicologists
known collectively as the du-kru, producing a live jazz-fusion set of their
own material and improvisation. Dahu is currently collaborating with Steve
Bicknell on future projects.
