Both of them are very diverse producers. Monolake has not made a lot of
straight dance tracks ever, but my favorite of his dancier stuff is Tangent
and some of the stuff on Hong Kong. Can't believe I forgot to mention
Monolake... Kit clayton has some stuff that's more on the minimal tip - not
as noisey or ambient. Moles and Avacadoes on Background is his closest to
the Maurizio sound in terms of dubbiness but really more in the world of
minimal techno. I love his live ambience too, but I think it's better suited
to the context of his live sets, where he really shines IMO. I wish he'd
release a live CD. His betalounge set from October is still doing it for me,
especially the 2nd half of it once he gets through the noise. Seeing him
live on the Formless Form tour was a real treat.

For more of a beat treatment from these two, check out the Revenge of the
Nerds set at http://www.monolake.de which is the two of them live. You can
also hear most of Monolake's output including Tangent.

I fail to see the Aphex Twin comparison.

They have been making new tracks. Check out the new Rythm & Sound that was
posted last week when it comes out. They've been making tracks this whole
time, just slowly. Also check Deep Chord for quality stuff that's pretty
similar (not to re-hash that debate).

Anyone else notice "Psion" on the "thedrivehome" trailer? Wonder if that'll
get corrected...
