Can't remember what Future Rage sounds like, but I'm sure you're right. I preferred the b-side but I think it also could fall victim to accusations of being generic, nonetheless its energy really excites me, gets my head nodding.
Have to admit that I'm not at all knowledgeable about this scene, so my tastes aren't particularly refined. However, one track I really enjoyed (though it's not exactly new now) was Dego's rework of Focus - Having Your Fun. Again a big descending bassline tune, I must be a sucker for these!
