Detroit house in the early 1990s is the unknown mother
RBMA track down Mike Banks's forgotten Detroit supergroup, Members Of
The House, for an extended chat.

Was just listening to an old 4hero album 'The Early Plates' and couldn't
help but notice that on the track 'Rising Son' there is a flute sample that
is also in the UR/Members Of The House track 'UR My People' - that hard to
find white label.

Hey everyone,
I'm trying to find information, news clippings, old releases, anything relating
to the "Members of the House".
This was a group from 1990-1995, that Mike Banks was the executive producer of,
and Jeff Mills was co-producer.
There were four front singers, Billy B
y 1990.

Everything you wanted to know about acid house
My favorite Members of the House release is "These Are My People"/
"Feel the Fire" (Shockwave SW 1003, "produced and mixed by
Underground Resistance"), which must have been around 1993.
It's very much in the Earth Wind
I remember (I think!) a members of the house tune ... 'Can I share my house
with you ... I'll play it loud, if you want me too.'
Was Mike Banks still a member during DEMF 2000? Even more spotterish, is it
true that George Clinton was an uncredited member/producer during session
wasnt he touring with them while in UR? i remeber a mills interview with
him
saying he wrote the punisher(his last track for UR) on his own while mike
was touring europ with MOH
Mike did a lot of work with the group from writing, to management, to a
million other things, so yes, he toured wit
