Hi peepz, I've been following the medium-discussion for a while now, there have been solid arguments from all parties, but in the end I think it all comes down to this: everybody has a preferred way of listening and playing his of her favourite music. There ain't no right or wrong is this matter, there are just different ways.
I myself prefer vinyl, because IMO no other medium has up till now reached the sound of vinyl played on a good turntable with a good soundsystem. I have this old Hitachi-amp hooked up to my mixer and that dusty, grey, hot as hell after 20 minutes at level 10 baby gives me a sound compared to which all digital sound seems cold and too clean. And no matter which technologies will come into being in the future I'm pretty sure that vinyl will not cease to exist in my lifetime, especially not if I read all the posts from people who prefer it as well on this list. And for those people who do prefer MP3's and digital sound, just go ahead and enjoy the music as much as I do. And if one day there will be a deejay playing at the same venue as I, only using MP3's, well, if he plays good tracks I'll have a party, and if he sucks I'll tell him so, and that will have to do with the music and not the medium.
