yeah i agree there is that perception of derrick...i have never met him,
but i kinda had that impression, sometimes he comes off a little pompous
or something in interview clips etc -- but it's always enjoyable too...i
think it was in high tech
I think the 'hi tech soul' arose from him wanting to present an
alternative to 'techno' given that the term 'techno' is (as he sees
it) somewhat debased or misunderstood outside this scene. People
equate it with Moby or whatever. Derrick rarely forgets a name or
face, that impressed me earl
