try Easy CD-DA Extractor. it has Audio File Format Converter in it. i'm

Or (after you've purchased a registration) QuickTime Pro.
Then you can write an Apple Script to do it en masse, if you're using a
Mac of course - you can always just select all in a play list and do it
that way. I'm not being flip, these really are the easiest ways.
